Well we have gotten the shop up and running. I am still waiting on the postman for several new patterns, so keep stopping by to see what’s new.
I wanted to introduce you to Natalie Lymer from Cinderberry Stitches. I first found her blog several years ago. I loved her designs from the start. As they say in the movies she” had me at hello”. She is from Australia and has a delightful blog is which she shares her life and designs. I have had the pleasure of making several of her quilts. Her designs were one of the reasons I decided to open Oh Sew Retro.com. They were impossible to find in the states, and when I ordered them from Australia there was always the shipping and the exchange rate to deal with.
I have chosen three patterns for you. Paper Dolls is brand new. I love this bag and I can think of several uses for the bags. It will be great for a diaper bag, a going to grandma’s overnight, and even a great shopping tote. I loved paper dolls growing up and they were actually one to my first sewing projects when I was a girl.
Woodland Fairies is just so cute, what can I say. There are so many movies and books with a fantasy theme this year; I thought it would be great to put it into a little girl’s bedroom. Frame it off or make it into a wall hanging or even a pillow.
The Mush-roomie Flip is a great little bag. So many useful ideas come to mind for it, from coupons to a checkbook. It would be a great quick gift to make.
I forgot to mention the best part of Natalie’s patterns. All the designs can be ironed on your fabric, no tracing involved. That makes it “sew” easy.
I am so honored to introduce Cinderberry Stitches to you. Her Blog address is cinderberrystitches.typepad.com. Hope you love the patterns. Enjoy your day and remember to….Sew On
Mary
